My wife's GLE had the Check Engine light on. The car was just out of warranty window and I was dreading high service... cost at the dealership. I decided to give Texas International Motors a try. Boy, that was the best decision for a long time. They took the car to the back once I arrived and took it back to the front after 40 minutes. I was told the light was related to a small leak from the fuel tank because the cap may not be tightened properly. The cost of the work was ZERO! Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. 40 minutes of work on Saturday and they didn't charge me a penny, which said a lot about their service and mission. I been coming to TIM for about 2 years now, they have fixed anything from something as small as an oil change or light... bulb replacement to a job that requires multiple hours of work. Maziar and Jose was dishonested with me about my quote .. From 3200.. 3500.. to 5900 .. & Charge me 250.00 without... consulting with me first.. Meant to write this review way earlier, like 6 months ago! Have been coming here for the majority of the maintenance on... my 2012 Mercedes and have always gotten a much better price than the dealership! Owner has been up front and friendly every time. Usually I'll drop my car off in the morning before work, catch a ride downtown to the office with the shop's driver, then get a ride after work to pick up the car. Have also had a water pump replaced here via aftermarket warranty and that went smoothly.Will be returning in a few weeks for another oil change!read more
Most Common Problems in Land Rover Range Rover Vehicles
Land Rover Range Rover Sports vehicles were shipped with an air suspension compressor, which wears out normally, since it cannot pressurize the system within the calibrated time frame, causing the air suspension to become disabled. If the fault appears when the suspension is at “normal” height, the suspension is locked, preventing it from lowering or raising with a warning designated message “Normal Height Only”. If the suspension is lowered when the fault appears, it fails to raise and the warning message to not exceed 35 MPH will display on the panel.
To repair, the suspension compressor must be replaced with an AMK made compressor. This compressor is the best replacement, but will also require an update to software to the Suspension module, so the vehicle can accommodate the new style compressor.
